aren't the talas and float like EXACTLY the same? i can seem to find a difference other than the weight
thats pretty much it. look into the pikes from rs. cheaper but still a very good fork.
Talas has adjustable (Travel Adjust Linear Air Spring-100mm, 130mm, 160mm) as opposed to the Float which is set at 160mm. And yes they are rediculously expensive. Brand new Talas's go for like a grand and change so look for used ones unless you have to have their new QR

new qr? what issss thiss?
prior to 08 fox 36 forks didnt have a tool free 20mm axel, from 08 they have a handy tool free "QR" axel. not as quick as the RS maxel however. i upgraded from a coil pike to a 36 talas and i would say the money was worth it. better ride, easier to set travel, more adjustable, much stiffer. if a QR 20mm axel is no concern you can find a 07 Talas and have a new 09 "FIT" dampener system fitted
