I run 32 - 17 with no tensioner. That's as long as you can go with out a tensioner unless you want to ghost ring it.

I am building one at the moment.
I got the frame for $70
Jirt jam Pro (06) for $60
Truvative Huserfelt (New) for $50

what else should I put on it?

I am going to run Single speed 32 - 16

The ghost ring acts like a tensioner.

idk im just gonna
screw around with
halflinks, and streched chains because i really
want to put on a ss hub, would you suggest a 9 speed
hub with ss kit, or a freewheel?

Posted: Jul 1, 2008 at 19:46 Quote
Get an SS hub if you can, if you can't get a 9spd and convert it. Freewheels are pretty meh. Specially the micro drive ones.

Posted: Jul 1, 2008 at 19:50 Quote
so you would siggest
converting a 9spd?
i wanted to get a
ns cassette pro, but
i dont know if i wanna
buy a bmx crank.?
so im either stuck with a
normal 9spd hub or a freewheel?

Then go with a 9 speed hub. Why would you be stuck with bmx cranks if you got the ns rear hub though?

because the drivers of the pro ss version
onlyu come in 9,10, and 11 tooth options,
so unless you rin a granny ring which looks meh,
you would have to find some kinda
chain ratio that would fit, i was looking at that because it
is a cassette drive ss hub which makes it awesome since its made directly for mtb
but i have verticle dropouts on my stp,,, and i rly dont know
what a microdrive drivetrain would look like with a chain tensioners

O+

I have a 24-11 on mine and it is way too tight I think a 22-9 might be good.

hey yeh thats my bike.
well i got that tensioner off (for sale if you want pm me) now with a half link chain but its to tight. Buddy i think if you run 26 13 it will work. dont do 25 12 its awful. for gear ratio try to get 2/1
