the thing most people don't get about forks is their are two seals in each leg the lower oil seal needs a ring of oil around it to hold in the other oil. On hard hits this ring is pushed through the lower seal with other oil it then exits through the dust seal. totems don't need that much force to push this ring up and through and it takes a very long time for it to re accumulate.

this is what i think the problem is is people do something stupid and blow oil through the lower seal and send the whole fork away when the problem is non-existent. but in some cases it is a real problem that could be cause by a torn seal.

if it continues for more then a week replace the seals. if this fails miserably you could put marzocchi monster seals into the fork to stop the problem.

this is my opinion and it may be 100% irrelevant.

Ya it is because not only is it leaking out of the stantion seal its also leaking out of the mission control unit, and i don't mean small amounts of oil like my whole fork was soaked in oil.

I couldnt pick up my fork by the lower it was so oily, and my down tube and seat tube supports were covered too (look at my other pics). New fork sent from RS to fix issue.

my 2005 norco a-line with 06 888 vf2 fork

Gorgeous. If the fork was flat black aswell, that bike would be perfect IMO. low key, badass and well spec'd. well done.

^^^^^Just hope you dont wipe out cause your forks will leave a nice smash in the bottom of the frame, thats why they use dual crown forks on a-lines. If your bars turn to much your fork knobs will smash the shit out of the frame

I find that is a non issue I am running Totems and even with the fork locked out there is still a quarter inch of space.

For me, its is an issue. With my 07 66Rc2x on my 06 A-Line it was too!

But I really don't care, since its alot of times my speed hose that take the hit, or sometimes my brake line! Brake line is a little more costy sadly!

But I still love how it rides, and how the people look at you saying: WTF Nice! Razz

If you want to fix it , the guy at my work used this on his team dh, you buy a chis king headset and then you can buy an after market stack race, what it is , a replacment fork race but it adds a bit of height so your forks will clear.
