On 24" wheels I like a 8t on back and a 20t on front.

on 23" tubes i use 45hg-46hg on the bake and 23hg-23.1hg on the font.

Well - Rode it a few weeks and it's pretty sweet. At first I found it a little on the stiff side of my version of perfect but it's nothing you don't get used to. Wink

[EDIT] And it's on 26 wheels I'm on about. Smile

i've said this before (and got flamed for it) but this whole thread is kinda wack. some people get and some don't.

look, it's this simple:

FRONT #TEETH DIVIDED BY REAR #TEETH X Wheel Size = Gear Inches.

"Gear Inches" is what you should be talking about.

It helps no one to say "I love 25-9 !!" because that works with 20" wheels. The bigger the wheel the harder that gets to crank. the reason why 25-9 works on 20" wheels (and that it is one of the most common bmx gear ratios in existence right now) is that it gives you 55.5 gear inches, if you use the VERY SIMPLE FORMULA above.

25-9 on 20" wheels is roughly the same as 30-14 on 26" wheels. or if you want 25 in the front, then you need 11 or 12 in the rear, with 26" wheels.

etc etc etc.

just use the formula !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

22-11, I love it for park riding and no sprocket slams... EVER. On 26" that is

EDIT: 52 gear inches.

It's a Shimano splined cassette, so without modification, no.
