I tend to be fairly picky about what parts I ride, so even if I went for a new bike I'd build up a frame. Current one will accept 27.5 with new rear dropouts and apart from wheels/forks/cranks everything is less than a year old, so I end up with a practically new bike swapping to 27.5

secondhand 2015 36's seem to go for $100 or so more than a secondhand pike so that's now looking like the way to go.

Yeah I'm wanting a new 36 over a pike now, sounds to be every bit as good and then some. Just a shame about the price difference, though as you say second hand theyre reasonable.

yeah, new it's a huge difference but I'll happily pay $100 extra for the 36 if that's all it is.

20mm axle is worth $100 in my opinion.

As you blokes said, second hand or bargains are good reasons to get 26, but you won't get a bargain on a brand new MY 26 fork, like a pike or a 36.

On marzocchi, the 55 at 170mm and 350 at 160mm have the same a2c. Only problem is, the 350 has that 15mm axle that is not compatible with any of my wheels or more importantly my roof rack.

I am using 27.5 pike on my 26" bike.
it feels like another 10mm extra due to slacker angles.

And yes it feel smoother than lyrik rc2dh. But my lyrik is 2010, newer lyrik might feel different though.

Its a shame that pike use 15mm, since I have to change my hub.

Do you have a picture of it? Can't seem to find any pictures with 26 wheel 27,5 fork.

this is when I put 27.5 pike on 26 reign. I am using it for my xc trail bike. I will post later when I put it on my entourage.
