Why does the '15 enduro comp travel not use the full length of the shock (stock fox CTD)? If all the air is let out, there is still roughly 6mm of travel remaining before it reaches the end. Not that its a bad thing, I'm just curious. It would make it easier to eye up the travel usage if the travel indicator ended up closer to the full length after bottoming out.

Enduros and other specialized bikes with Fox have been like that for years. Annoying isn't it.
panaphonic - super annoying! Obviously I know that I cant use the full barrel, so I know that I'm at the end or close to the end of my full travel, but really? The travel indicator is supposed to go to the end.. thats how it works. Anything else is inconvenient for that quick glance estimation of travel use.
Hi... I have an 2015 specialized Enduro 650... so I'm trying to upgrade the rear shocks, but not sure what's my best option, want something that fit the bike and will be a good one. Please if any one can help meach with some suggestions. Thank you
Im eventually going to upgrade the rear shock on the 2015 Enduro comp 650b from a standard fox ctd to a new Canecreek db inline or monarch plus. (I prefer the monarch more). I don;t really know shock stuff really well and need help.
HERE ARE THE SHOCKS FOR BOTH THE ELITE 650B and the COMP 650b
*216x64mm that converts to about 8.5 x 2.5 (650b Comp with Fox CTD) -
* 8.5"x 2.25 (650b Elite with Cane creek Inline)
QUESTIONS: 1) Does the higher end Elite really have a different size shock than the Comp? 2) I have know idea what size shock to put on? 3) Give me some basic knowledge on shock please?
Thanks for reading!
Hello, Sorry to bring back an old post but don't want to make another one. I have the 2015 specialized endure Elite and the can creek shock is blown so wanted to up grade to the MONARCH PLUS RC3 DEBONAIR and just wanted to make sure that the measurements are correct before buying. I need to get the 216x63 8.5x2.5 correct? Thanks
