My Supreme V3 FR I use for DH in the UK love it, reposting it as had a few mods for racing Boxxers and direct mount 50mm stem. Love this bike so much fun to ride, only thing left is proper tubeless wheels probably go hope DH I run ghetto tubeless at present which is a ball ache if I want to swap tyres.
I used to love commencal, ridden one for years then I brought a new one
Before I even got to ride it the suspension pivot bolt ceased. It was put in and taken out twice both times with a torque wrench. Its alright I thought commencal are a great company they’ll help. They supplied the frame shock and bushings they’ll know what to do, ill even sent a video showing the problem
The first email sent on the 17th of april they replied Thank you for contacting us,
It is necessary right to draw the screw to withdraw it is normal that it does not leave more place, Have a good day,
Thanks They followed this up with a video of someone taking a bolt out. I’m not sure how piss taking works in Andora but Im sure this is pretty close.
I took Seventeen emails of back and forth and numerous videos , finally with me having to use a hammer and screwdriver at commencals suggestion to have a go at moving it. It didn’t work and commencal finally agreed there might be a problem with , and again Ill mention, the brand new unridden frame, shock, and bushings. and eventually agreed to take it back to solve the problem.
It was shipped on the 19th of April and arrived back on the 13th of may. Finally I could build my bike again and ride it? No. First it looks like the bold was taken out with a lump hammer and a kitchen knife. There are deep gouges all around the shock bolt mount. Great just what everyone wants that on there new frame.
The bushings are the same ones which gives me no confidence, as there’s a strong possibility that was the problem last time especially as commencal stated “The screw must block in the bushing not in the frame” in one of there emails
To top it all off THERE IS NO MOUNTING BOLT IN THE BOX. In fact it doesn’t even look like anyone has tried to fit a new one. I presumed as through seventeen emails commencal were convinced this was impossible or as they said” is difficult that it is a problem of manufacture” that someone would look at it, probably replace the suspect parts try a new bolt and bushings and send it back.
Instead what I got was the bolt gouged out, and then everything thrown the frame back in a box and sent back incomplete
I’ve then sent another five emails chasing the bolt. I was promised it last week then this week by Tuesday/ Wednesday. I asked them if they could courier it to me. Probably the least they could do, but recived just another empty promise. So a furyher two days later its still not here. I’m supposed to be in Germany riding but thanks to there level of customer care I have no bike. Theve now stopped replying to emails
They have not taken this seriously from the start. Even when they have had the frame back with them. It does not appear anyone has cared what the problem is or done anything other than shrug .
So that’s commencal. I know theve made great bikes, I’ve ridden them, i would have loved to have ridden one again. but hope you get lucky because if you don’t this is how they will treat you. i wouldnt rely on the five year warrenty and i wouldny rely on there customer service its a joke.
