Stiffen your fork's travel then "boost" or do a sort of near vertical bunnyhop. it works best on tables or dirt park style jumps where you go high, but not far.

ive done it before
last jump of the set and the gap was tiny but i went high
the key to gettin more air on a jump is to push down on the bike before u hit the ramp...basically preload the fork and shock...then along with your preload that u have caused, your forward momentum will preload the bike even more...this will give u more air...i do it, and it works for me all the time...plus i have a 43 pound fully that has a hella soft fork set up for downhilling...
that's what i'm talking about. most decent forks will suck up force, but let it out slow. you want to turn the force into a rapid up down motion, think like a spring
Okay, I get how suspension can help the whole "pop" part. But how do BMX'ers do it then? I've seen the shite they ride, and it is huge, not necessarialy long, but still gigantic. I'd really like to know, since I'm trying to re-learn how to jump on my new BMX. Hope I'm not thread jacking.
