Hi guys, I very new to this rear shock measurement thingy. I actually have a Float X2 7.875 x 2.25 which I guess is similar to 200 x 57. I just bought a 2019 5010 Alu frame and was wondering if this shock will fit my new frame. The new 5010 v3 runs a 210 x 50. Thanks in advance for the advice!

i wouldnt try, youre shortening the overall length by 10mm so itll change the geometry, and also increasing the stroke by 7mm which will increase wheel travel quite a bit, sounds like a good way to get lots of tire rub/voided warranty

DPX2 will hit the underside of your TT when long-shocked w/57 mm stroke and bottomed out. On a V2 Lrg anyway. Trust me I have the paint chip to prove it.

I've pulled mine back to about 54mm with custom spacers and no issues...

The first number is the eye to eye length so using A 200 shock would sag 10mm into your new frame at static, not ideal. You will want to stick with a 210mm shock, I know the Bronson 3(and other bikes) use a 210x55. That would provide 5mm stoke, multiplied through the suspension might be +10ish mm. But you need to make sure the shock doesn’t hit the frame or the tire hit the seat tube at full compression.

Good luck, report back with new findings.

Has anyone long shocked a dpx2 on V3 5010? Looking at putting 210x55 or should I stick to 210x50...?
