I just built a Pole Taival. Its fairly agressive, and long. Fits a large guy like me perfectly. They offer ready built ones too.

The new Surly Karate Monkey or a Chromag Rootdown would be great options

Cotic Solarismax should be added to your list - check their website as they will do demo rides. I have a Solaris 2 XL and love it - the Max is a bit more and takes a 140 fork if you want.

Commencal Meta HT AM - 140 - 160mm fork options. I have one for sale, it's awesome.

This is a bit different, because it's a custom titanium frame builder, but this 29er from Corvid Cycles shreds! Anyone in the US that wants a locally built frame should check them out.

I Love my Cotic Solaris MAX with a 130mm fork, 2.6in tire on the front and 2.4in out back the thing destroys trails.

If long and slack work then, check out Nordest Bardino or Pipedream Moxie.

I went with the Moxie and really like it. I also swapped the 51 offset fork for a 42. I'm running 160mm travel and it feels great.

I've got 2000km on my Moxie and absolutely love it. I'm 5'9" on a Long and it fits great, climbs, corners and descends amazingly. I can usually keep up to my peers on their Troys, Spartan, 134, etc.

Ride it at Mountain Creek regularly for the past 2 summers with no problems
