I ended up sending mine back, they found nothing wrong and sent it back to me, its still super loud at top out.
Very odd. I love the shock, but this can't be normal.
I have been messing with it, and it seems like it has basically zero neg air at top out. There is no top out bumper of any kind. If I let a bunch of air out (enough to easily cycle it) and cycle it through the travel, it just smashes at top out.
The same thing . Serviced four times. Last time, the start was adjusted to be lighter, bigger volume spacer and lower air pressure. Worked well for 150 km.
I have the same issue with my Float X shock, first ride on a stumpy evo and 1/4 way down the trail the shock started making a loud clanking sound as it started into the travel and on top out. I took it into the shop and they said they would rebuild it and let me know .
So, update, it went back to Fox and they installed a "no clunk" piston, no joke, that is what the work order said. So anyone that has this issue should contact Fox, as there seems to be an issue that they have a fix for. The clunk is gone, once I got it back.
I've double and triple checked all the torques and still trying to isolate this noise that's coming from the back end of my new Pivot Switchblade that came with a Fox Float X. I thought it might be the seat post based on easily being able to reproduce a rattling noise by banging on the seatpost with my fist but I'm not entirely convinced this is what I'm feeling while riding. I removed the seat post entirely along with the dropper cable and dropper lever and I'm still getting a little bit of a clunk in the back end when going over small chattery bumps. I took the short video in the link below and believe this is as close to reproducing what I feel when riding. Listen for that little clunk in each cycle of the shock. If anyone else thinks this is the same problem they are having just comment on this but it looks like Fox may have a design defect in the Float X's since one other rider said they sent it back and Fox installed a "no clunk" piston that solved the problem.

UPDATE 4/14/23: Just got an email from Fox confirming a "no clunk" piston for Float X shocks that solves the problem. Going to RMA my shock (http://www.ridefox.com/fox17/rarequest.php?m=bike) under warranty to fix.
UPDATE 4/24/23: Received my warrantied shock back from Fox, appears to have fixed the clunk in short test rides but rain keeping me off the trail for the real test.

Did you get this figured out? I have the same problem happening with my Stumpy Evo.

Thanks, Steve
I have the same bike and did the same, double checked all pivot, regreased and adjust torque. I didn't took off my dropper post but did clean the post. It make the same sound as you at the 3 seconds mark in your video
