I can't ride without 10" Really, I can't even balance on the bike and start rolling without knowing there's at least that much travel under me. It would be scary.

i started downhill on a hard tail with 4" triples. it was crazy. i broke my forks in no time. since then i have been going for big travel so i can trust my bike a little more.

i think 8 in the front and 9 - 10 in the back is perfect

it really depends on what the run is like...some courses u only need around 6-7 while others u need more..it all depends on how the course is set up

Bike set-up, riding style have a large part to play. If you have your bike set-up right 6"to 7" will be fine as long as you can ride smoothly. If you are hard on your bike then more travel will benefit you in the end.

I love how Euros don't use decimals. That looks like a lot of travel to my Yankee eyes.
Edit: Wait a tick, you're Canadian, even you guys use commas in place of decimal points? Creepy
