I've seen it before. Fixie freestyle is cool, I guess. I don't really understand why though, but to each his own. People have been doing tricks on track bikes since at least the 1800s. I wouldn't ever ride one for street though, but to be fair, I wouldn't trust half the bmx bikes kids are riding these days either.

I think it's pretty cool. I like the look of a fixie with BMX stem and mtb bars.

Charge make "freestyle fixies". Theres like a club or something called Fixed Gear London where fixie riders together. It's pretty funky stuff.

Here, man.

Link to the video that you tried to post but it didn't work because Pinkbike doesn't use HTML.

Cheers, fixed it now though. I always forget that. I get confused because it works on Preview but not when you post.

No problem. I didn't know that it worked in the preview.

I'm lacking the understanding of why these people don't just get rigid mountain bikes, and make them fixed gears

Geo . . . a fixed gear bike is good for getting places, and the riders actually sit down. Plus, they're light and still strong enough for this stuff. And another thing - fixed hubs are 120mm spacing, which is not 135mm mountain spacing.

I just don't understand the whole fixie thing now. Stupid in my opinion, but to each his own.
