For what kind of riding? studded tires only help on ice.. I have been biking in the winter for years and tried store bought studded tires and have made my own.. I have ridden high pressure pizza cutters and low pressure 3.0's .. the conditions change by the hr in snow riding and unless you plan on riding a lot of ice dont bother waisting your money..When we made them by hand it was because we young and had nothing better to do but sit around and f*ck with bike shit.. so if your stoke is high and you want to try them . I suggest you put on a bike vid and start punching screws into your rubber..
and if there are any other snow riding related questions bring it on! 19 years on a mountain bike in canada.. Not much i dont have an opinion on .. Key word OPINION
