im thinking of getting just the hoops and then the bike shop will lace them and stuff, so around 100 bucks a hoop or so.
dude, the syncros are waaay cheaper... I can get you on DS32's for $80/ea.
are they good ? strong, lite ? apparently inexpensive.....
they are good. Seem to be holding up pretty well so far. Dbl walled, eyeletted, pinned join... standard fare.

Here's a couple options for you:

Azonic Outlaw (white rims/hubs/spokes)
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=8871

Halo Tornado (white rims, black hubs/spokes)
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=12393

Just my suggestions from browsing around.

mavic xm 819. same weight as your wtb's rims and tubeless...if you can afford it, lace them up to a nice set of red hope hubs and white spokes.

rev's are syncros rims...

the syncros rims would be a bit lighter... the dual duties are (I think) +/-50g heavier/ea

not sure which ones you have:
dual duty xc - 450 grams
dual duty freeride - 575 grams

what you could choose from:
syncros ds28 - 545 grams
syncros fr ds32 - 564 grams
mavic xm 819 - 450 grams
mavic xm 719 - 460 grams (same as 819's only not ust)
mavic en 521 - 540 grams
dt swiss ex 500 - 500 grams

what you should really do is use what you got, save your money and buy a new wheelset. keep the ones you use now as a back up set or sell them and use the money towards a new set. sweet bike btw!!!
