So speaking of tires but not plus, anyone have suggestions for a tire I wont pinch flat every other ride. Ive tried the maxxis ardent 2.4 exo HRII and just last night second ride on a specialized with "Grid" casing pinched it again. I run Flow Ex 29s and at a minimum have been running 32psi. Riding SS so would prefer to not have a 1250g tire on the rear but i suppose if itll handle it id be psyched.

You can try this: http://hucknorris.com/

I received my set this week. But I still can't ride again, so I didn't put it in yet.

Should save more than 200g over ghetto-procore. Might not work as good though.

What's this ghetto procore? I had a bit of a search for 650b tubular slick tyres, is that what you're talking about?

This is actually a really cool idea. Local guy came up with this with Leo, CEO of Pole, and they were selling these in a national enduro race a few weeks ago I think. This guy also makes tubeless compressors out of old foam extinguishers. The compressor is called Napsautin and I actually have one of those. Nice guy and great products.

This:
ghetto procore 6bar

700x25c tubular tyre on a 584x25mm rim. Prevents pinch flats and burping, much cheaper than the regular Schwalbe Procore, but weighs around 300g per wheel, depending on how much you want to spend on the tubular.

Yeah, I got the Link from Pole's FB page. It's a great idea!
I let you guys know how good it works for me Wink

Interesting idea, but I've never gotten a sliced tired from contacting the rim. It's usually from knife-edged rocks just slicing a sidewall.

Anybody have any experience with the DB Inline? I know a lot of them have experienced failures, looking for one as a replacement for my Monarch plus on my patrol. seems like the db air has too much air volume for the leverage ratio if I'm not mistaken.

Good call, I've been eyeing that vivid coil, I like the idea of Hsr and Lsr. I'll give er a bit more research.

I have been super impressed... super planted went with a lighter coil than in the past and even with that the peddle bob is minimal... bikes now are so killer that lock outs aren't all that necessary... and the patrol would be bomber with a coil...

Isn't this the wrong thread for this kind of discussion? Wink

And PHeller, it's not just to prevent flats, not feeling the rim hitting rocks and roots while the tyre is 'going through its travel' gives a lot of confidence.
