IDK, I would race cat 1 but the sea otter is always super heavily sandbagged so it might be more even if I race cat 2.

Racing it is basically an excuse to ride the course for fun without hassle. Last two years I didn't race and it was pretty lame.

The dirt is insanely dry here in Monterey. I'm talking hard packed with zero traction on most trails so be ready for some Tokyo drifting!

SEA OTTER Sponcorship Needed? Please help a boy out!

My son was planning on racing Downhill at the upcoming Sea Otter Classic. Unfortunately, The race bike was stolen. I cannot afford to replace his bike in time for this event. Would anyone be willing to help my 13 year old son "live the drean"? We live close and could meet you at the event. He is about 5' 7" (Medium frame on most bikes), and about 105lbs. Last year he was top 15 out of over 40 boys in his class.

Please help if possible.

Respectfully,

David Matthew
