I still get an insane workout on the ebike, I just don’t die a thousand deaths while climbing. I triple my distance on my ebike compared to my analog bike. It depends on how you ride I guess.

Beautiful bike, nice build. My only complaint would be, unless you weigh 20 or 25 pounds, those brakes are never going to slow that beast down. Even with 220mm rotors.

Looking at it, my G2 R's have the SRAM Grey Ceramic Pads. My Wifes have the Copper Metallics. These stop decent, but looks like I'm ordering metal pads!

Check out MTX Gold pads for SRAM. If super wet area, red or ok but wear faster.

My new 2023 Pole Voima Race ID frameset with the new limited edition Bosch Race motor. Looks similar to the old one, but it’s a little lighter and narrower around the motor and head tube. So better turning radius for the 40 and better cooling for the motor as well as a little bit more ground clearance. Also updated built in control unit and wireless mini remote on the bars. 50lbs on the dot, (22.67kg). I could get it under 50 if I put the stock RockShox shock back on it since it’s 150g lighter than the Fox shock. But I like the Fox better. First ride on it tomorrow! Beer

Edit; build spec and more pics on my Vital MTB bike check.

Gone electric superlight with a 2022 Orbea Rise H15 and WHAT A BIKE

So splashed the cash 2 years early (promised myself an e-mtb when I turned 50) after a health issue means I am struggling to get my fitness levels back up.

A standard Orbea Rise H15, classed as a superlight with detuned 60Nm motor and smaller battery so still rides and feels kinda like an analogue bike.

Have swapped out the Rekon tyres straight off and now running a DHR2 and Wild Enduro front.

Also swapped out the front 2 pot shimano brake for a spare MT7 I had in the shed and will be sticking a 4 pot shimano caliper on the rear eventually - cant be arsed with routing the hose through the bike so that seems like an easy short term fix!

I'm at the awkward height of 5ft6 which is normally borderline small/medium but the medium rise is designed for 5ft4 to 5ft8 so is absolutely spot on size wise!

Cannot rave about this bike enough.

Went back to good ol Maxxis tires. After 5 rides, the stock Specialized tires are not to my liking. Already developed two sidewall tears, one flat tire, and several burps on fast berms. No thanks.

Also dropped a pound with combo of new tires, and new transmission drivetrain! Sits at 49.8 as pictured.
