Loose the front derailler, too many cables. Other than that it looks wickid. Kind of reminds me of the new IH Sunday Wink

i would go with black cables, would look a lot sleeker. and you don't need the granny gear and the front der., get rid of it. i ride a lot of hilly xc without one. plus, you'll save a good amount of weight.

well to be honest on a 48lb bike that little bit of weight makes no difference.
its going to be a bit different next week. putting these bits on:

single chainring up front with e-13
hope mono m4's
RS vivid will be on and new tyres saddle and new cable.

and it already has new bars and grips from sunline

wow, 48? that is pretty high. if you want some good tips on lightening up your bike, check out www.sicklines.com. they did some really creative stuff on some of their builds to save weight, might help you get it down. i would imagine trying to throw that thing around on the trails would be very difficult.

it is quite heavy but its a nicely balanced bike so really isnt to bad but climbing its no so great.
will be getting some new wheels in a couple of months i think that where i will make the biggest saving plus eventually get a ti spring on the vivid.

Yea, I'm just amazed that a 7in travel bike weighs that much. My Sunday weighs less than that, and it's 8in.

it is really overbuilt though. everything is a little bigger than it probably needs to i guess. i havent weighed it since it was re-sprayed but i doubt i would have lost much weight with the parts i changed. i will have a weigh when the new parts are on see how it fairs.
