ok annoying rear axle needs to go(keeps coming loose)...is there a caming type of axle to suit the rear?

and what tape have you guys used to running the Giant P-AM2 tubeless? anyone used a cheap "Duct/Gaffa" type tape?
blue loctite as stated above.

2nd season on ghetto guerilla tape tubeless method. Only one layer needed. I hear the new guerilla clear tape works even better than the thicker black tape as it is lighter and does not suck up the stans as much. Here is a video:

Hi there,

I think about ordering a Reign and I need some help for sizing. Want to use it for day to day trail riding as well as for some bike park missions.

I'm 5'11 (181) with long legs (86 cm inseam). Normally I ride shorter bikes. My Stumpjumper FSR Evo 29 is Medium, Reach 419. So first I thought it would be a no brainer to just pick the Reign in Medium and ride a shorter stem, since it is already really long.

But I'm confused on the really low stack? Can I handle that with just adding lot's of spacers?

On the other side, switching to large seems to extreme because of the extreme wheelbase. Which I think makes sense for racing, but not for day to day trail riding.

I am the same hight with the same inseam and I ride Medium. I also was confused about size since I came from Mediu Canyon Torque (2013) - I replaced it just because I had find out it is too small for me. Now I am running 50mm stem, "all the spacers", 30mm rise 800mm bar and 150mm droper seatpost. I find it OK, maybe little short on the high speed, but much more nimble on tight corners. Recently I drop my handlebar for about 10mm and it still doesn't feel small.

Thanks! That's what I also thought...getting a 150mm droper. How many spacers is "all the spacers" Wink ?

Could always just run a higher rise bar?

I'm about 1/2" shorter than you, own a L, rented a M for the day at Whistler recently. Either size works, really just depends on stem length , bar width and sweep.
I prefer my L as I like a bar with more sweep and a stubby stem.

I think I would try L if it wasn't 1,2 m in wheelsize. That's more then any DH bike I have ridden. However will get the chance to do a test ride next week Smile

Do you ever experience your rear shock bottoming often on medium to large hits?

Just at the beginning in the "setup phase". I am aware that I haven't took advantage of all the tuning options yet, but right now it works for me. I do not have really rough riding style, but I am very heavy rider (cca. 110 kg + gear), and do not bottomout at 1,5m flat land drop.
Allover I am very pleased with that shock - rougher (with 650 spring) than Fox Van R (with 600 spring), but with lots of feedback information from the ground. The climb switch was the main feature while looking for new spring shock, but allover performance is above my expectations and needs.

Hey guys, I'm trying to remove the crankset on my Giant Reign 1 2015 to access the bolt holding the bottom of the rear suspension to add some Sram "rubberbands". It's a Sram X1 crankset and 6x6 bottom bracket. I tried using a 10mm hex key with a 6" extender and still no luck.
Any ideas?

Thanks

You can add some bands by the top of the shock with a bit of stretching, a lot easier. There was a photo posted here a couple of months ago to show the way it's done.

Looking into going to a coil shock a vivid in particular. But I don't want to run into the issue of having the rebound knob rubbing. Can you twist the shaft of the shock and have the rebound knob facing to the rear of the bike instead of forward?
