So everyone I know keeps telling me to pay the £4 a month for premium. Is it worth it?

Try it free for 1 month and decide for yourself?

get a power meter and golden cheetah, GC is free and the power meter gives you the actual useful data. May cost ""a lot" but worth it

If your fairly serious it might be but for those of us who use strava for tracking km and speed, with watts as a nice piece of data on the side it pretty expensive. Not that I trust stravas power readings at all.

I've been thinking about getting a Garmin or similar dedicated GPS device. Excuse my ignorance, but can someone confirm that functionality wouldn't be impeded by leaving it in my pack, as opposed to mounting it to the bars. Cheers

it should be fine. I ride with mine in the jersey pocket or baggy shorts when I want to just go for a ride and not focus on heart rate zones ect.

Thanks. I'd be worried about it getting mashed in a crash.

Yes, crashing is bad. I had mine mounted on my DH rig once, with a K-Edge CNC'd mount which was very stiff. When I crashed, all the force went straight through the mount, and broke the tabs on the garmin. I ended up using keeping it in a pack or back pocket, and it always worked fine

Does anybody know if there is an app that has MapMyRide's feature Route Genius?I find It unique and really useful, I dont think any other app has that feature or even Strava.
