This is my rare entry, a first generation 1999 Balfa BB7. Very rare Canadian handmade frameset. I've contacted Jerome Roy on production numbers but still waiting a reply. Edit this is #13/52
Currently doing a restoration on a Nicolai Bass FR frame Been told it's from around 2003/4 era and that it's pretty rare. The frame was imported from Denmark and restoration has begun. Needles to say I don't think there are to many of these knocking about the UK trails.https://www.pinkbike.com/u/gtruckus83/album/Nicolai-Bass-FR-restoration/

Wow man! NicolaI bikes are super rare because they were super expensive. Framesets could cost between 3 and 10 thousand dollars. The bass fr was 3600€ for the frameset only. (5000$)
Aggreed that it is rare I don't think they made more than 1000 there isn't many examples.
Looks to be a 2002 model assuming the rear shock is original. They stopped the bass in 2005
Well the Bass FR is finished now and put up for sale. I've done a few restorations over the years, one of my favourites was a Dark cycles skareb. Got it re done with a Kawasaki green front end and gloss black rear. Road superbly. Im about to start a new project in a Nicolai Helius FR. Just got to decide on the colour scheme.
Heres one of my unicorns. Rocky mountain concept prototype from around 2001. A hardcore freeride/north shore/dh hardtail meant for dual crown dh forks. Only three were made in r&d labs
