Hello,
Thanks for the feedback Kootenaycycle - as we´re here, what´s the meaning of your name?
I will soon buy 650b wheels to my Scalpel, after i´ll let here my feelings.
In Portugal the 650b´s aren´t comum, for now!

I live in the Kootenay region of Canada.

Okay, check out Norcos 2013 KillerB 650b offerings.. In one short year, geometry is dialed, forks and shocks set up.. Norcos website has ideal links for geometry used, sizing etc..
I mean, this bike is running 160 mm of travel on 27,5 wheels with slack, all mtn HA... And so on..

Where do you live that they're using 650A on cheap commuter bikes ?

Europe Smile

It's also called 26 1⅜ and it's slightly bigger than 650B (590mm vs. 584mm)

650B was popular on old french commuters, so we have a few of those here too Smile

Pyga is releasing a 650c as well

i guess it's 650B and the C stands for carbon because there are no MTB tires in 650C size whatsoever

hey, now that the 29'er revolution is firmly established, at least in the hardtail mtb group, the 650B, aka, 27.5, movement
is underway... in part because it looks like a good compromise size in full suspension and also as many 26 " frames can accomodate the larger wheels, making conversions possible for those inclined.. that would be me..
My SC Blur LT is a listed frame whose measurements may allow the 650B wheel size.. anyone out there done this yet?
Looking for feedback on geometry compromises, fork brand and travel used.. and anything else ?? .. I am hearing Fox and Rockshox may actually be producing a 650B specific fork for 2012 or 13..
so yeah, comments appreciated..
betaflash.

I have new 2013 Santa Cruz blur LT carbon and it's got room tyre specific . Aka smaller rather then larger tyre for the 650b . It's a few mm to spare although my 2013 ctd front fork is Not the 650b version which is available now , I saw it at a bike store last week ! I got mine when I got my ride back in Aug ps . Tire tyre is a tire Smile
