I always wanted to ride one. I think they would be cool, they would not be much different than a 20" obviously... Cruisers are pretty close to a 20" so I think it would be a waste. Lots of guys race cruisers and 20" but there is no way to justify a bike that close to either. I just thought they would make real cool DJ bikes. Real whippy like a 20 but just a little smoother rolling so you didn't have to groom the trails quite as much.
They're not. I had been wanting to build a 22" wheel BMX for years, talking to anyone who would listen, and then FACTION built one and I put my money where my mouth was and bought it. It's a rad bike. There are a few minor things I would change if I was building one from the ground up, but they pretty much nailed the geo. I'm stoked these guys mortgaged the farm for this idea.
If you are a big dude and/or feel like 20"s are just too damn small, 22"s are a serious option.
Here's a pic of my General Lee 24" with 7" rise bars next to the Faction, and then my Macneil Deuce Deuce 22"tt with 9" rise bars next to it. The Faction has 8.25" rise Terrible One Paul Buchannan bars. I think the best setup on the Faction is 7.75" or 8" rise bars. (It comes stock with 7"s which I think are too low).
