I'm pretty sure if you're making a standard frame, i.e. no scalloped BB, etc, it's a lot cheaper. I got a quote from Matty late last year for a pretty standard BMX frame (yes, I do realize MTB frames require more material) and it was nowhere near $700.

Should have been about 440 for a BMX.
