I've got two kings, and my friends have Hope's. Both are great hubs. The kings are a bit pricey though...

Profile rocks, plus its far less common then hope.

Plus if by some unlikely chance yuou need to rebuild it. you can order all the hub parts off their site.

Depends what year model the hadley is. Their pawl system is a bit weaker than most hubs...the 108 engagement point hubs skipped a lot.

Get any old hub, take all the grease out of the freewheel system, and run it dry. That'll be loud.

It's more about fast engagement than noise, but fast engaging hubs are almost always super loud...especially Hopes...

its just down to quality of all the internal parts and the final finish that makes it louder, there better everything fits together and the smoother the bearings are allows the sound to travel through the hub and resonate more making it sound louder.....
