The original 4:20 hardtail with some 5" Manitou DC forks and a 24" back wheel. I just realized it's been 10 years since that particular little disaster and I've gotta go find some pics.
i was 6 and it was my first bike it was some fully rigid mtb frame made by the car company volvo haha remember learning to ride my bike pedalling casually at about 12mph and my dad telling me to brake..i didnt know what a brake was and slammed straight into a tree ahaha,.........i learnt to ride in a day and about 3 months later and these lads i knew who were about 15-16years old told me to do this jump they just built in a field it was like a foot high going over a 4 ft trench i jumped it and cased the rear wheel on the end of the trench and i slid off the back of the bike and carried on about 12ft with my ass grinding on the back wheel whilst still holding onto the bars with my 'manhood' nearly getting pulled into the rear v-brake ahaha pretty much cleared it tho been riding bikes for the rest of my life since and ride downhill and intend to for more years to come and only recall falling off and landing on the rear wheel 1 more time in last 12 years
I was always unsure about the model and manufacturer of my first DH bike, looked like an old Iron Horse SGS. I do know the 2001 Shiver was the smoothest fork I have ever ridden in the full ten years that I've had decent bikes.
A Coyote custom build. I think it was a Coyote. I bought it from an ad in MBUK from an Irish mail order company for £100. I was a student and didnt have much cash after snapping my Sintesi. cant remember the name of the frame, but the shock was fitted below the BB. it was absolutely the biggest piece of shit Ive ever ridden.
my first real one was the Gt Ruckus 2.0 hardtail a 2001 the first year they made it , whit a Psylo a front mech disc brake and rear v-brake ... old good time whit no problems in mind..
