I keep thinking about getting a Nomad. I currently have a Blur 4X and a Stab Deluxe and was thinking about chopping them both for one bike, kind of a happy medium.

Is the Nomad robust enough for play DH and freeride duties? Is it as tough as say an SX Trail?

WAY MORE TOUGH

Mine is being built up as I post this,White Frame, White Lyrics , Syncros White Grunge Stem, Looking for White rimmed wheels now, probably the Syncros AM rims which are also white. My LBS is becoming a Hope certified dealer this week and I have heard a whisper that they are getting Ltd Edition colours on their hope parts, I'm 'hope'ing it's White :-)

Thompson Elite Seat Post
Monkey Lite Carbon Bars
XT brakes(temporary as it's coming of my current bike)Hope M4 techs for it next month.
XT front and rear mechs and shifters
XT Drivetrain.

All this XT stuff is coming off my Whyte E120 which is extremely light, I had a demo ride of the Nomad at Glentress and I have to say that if you have enough strength in your legs then it will climb really well. For a bike that weighs a fair bit more it was so very close to the Whyte. It's simply down to the VPP, it's so good that it helps climbing and downhill.

Will post a pic once it's finished.

In response to the above post, I swear by tubeless.
