Hey guy maybe you can help me with something. Currently running an RC4 with 550lb ti spring on my 2015 V10. I am replacing the RC4 with a DHX2. Think I should go with 550lb sls spring on this shock? Santa cruz recommends 550 but Fox calculator says run 500lb would give my about 31% sag. I was thinking go 525 since 550 says 28.6% sag.
Just run the same as what you have if you're happy with it...

Have you considered sending the rc4 to avalanche instead of switching to dhx2?

I picked up a 2018 v10 a few months ago. I'm curious to see what everyone is running for sag percentages on the front and rear. I'm finding mine a bit stiff especially in the front end; I'm 155lbs witha 450lb spring and running 63psi in the fork. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate that.

Aim for about 30% sag in the back, from there and your fork so that it feels even.

Do you not find the 450 a bit soft?, i use a 450 (SLS & SAR)and i'm a bit lighter at just over 63kg.. but shock setup is key on V10 to get it to track well and not bog down too much.
As mentioned 25-30% is about right depending on riding styles... your fork should sag slightly too when you sit on the saddle.
what fork and shock are you running...?

I don't recall saying anything about a new V-10, but that does look rad.

Anyone else notice a new V.10 in the background at the end of the Tallboy video? Of course the video isn't available on Youtube anymore because of some copyright issue... but we have it on repeat here at the shop and I keep seeing a different rear triangle on the V.10 at the end of the video. More like a 5010 rear end.

Hey guys,

I'm about to buy a new V10 7 CC X01.
I'm like 75 kg in gear (165 lbs) ... will the 500 spring fit for like 28% sag?

You’ll need a lighter spring

V10 website has a spring chart under suspension tab that’s pretty much bang on
