The wrap on the down tube is to protect the area damaged during shipping just in case they wwant to inspect it.

Updated pic of my 2006 Norco 4XXXX with 2007 Z1 RC2 ETA. Just went to 2008 Transition Revolution 32s in red with 2.35 Maxxis Minion DHF front and rear. Can't wait for Black Rock this weekend....

And to the "magazine mechanic" haters out there: the bike rides great with a 6 inch travel fork. It actually rides better in my opinion. I didn't buy it for a dirt jumper, I bought it to be a sender that's light and stiff enough to accelerate quickly on mucky trails, as well as be pedaled up a hill. Mission accomplished!!

Oh yeah......I needed it to be able to keep up with Rubberdown's little bike, too.... Wink

Well Rob, if you wanted a fork that would be the best of both worlds, you could have bought a 36. They're amazing but they're $$. That bike looks nice though. I want my 4X to get shipped already.

I really want a 4X bike. Not really to race, just because 4X bikes are THE most fun bikes to ride.

I actually bought it from one of the other WSFR crew with the fork already on the bike. The damn thing feels so nice (light years ahead of my old 66 RV that came on the Shore) that I'm hesitant to swap it out. Although, if I did, I'd be looking at a 55 ATA in white...
