you wont get a good small DH/FR bike for 1000. Ride your hardtail untill you gather some cash from xmas/birthday/working, grow, buy a decent bike.

youll just end up screwing yourself up in the long run. You're going to grow right out of it in a season.

Get a hardtail. Your 12 years old your gonna grow out of it and i doubt you really need one.
no i have one but i do lots of DH now and i have had enough of bouncing like crazy on it

Yeah but if you get a proper DH hardtail you can get a long travel fork (180-200mm) on it and that will definately help, because you're only running 100mm now.

Here is a tip... If you are going to buy a good bike wait untill you can actually fit on one! If you buy a small bike now you are only going to start growing soon and you will quickly grow out of it!

So until you can fit on a full size bike, buy a small, cheap hardtail bike that you can learn on. Dont buy an expensive one tho - leave some money for when you eventually buy your good bike in a few years! When you grow!
