Got my forks back from warrenty and then went to whistler they put resin(spelling)in the crowns but the noise was still there. Im sending them back though, they said they are going to try some bonding thing this time. I dont get why they dont just replace my crown and sterrer tube asembly GRRR
http://www.tenneco.com/News/Archive/367/ They just don't make em' like they used to. I'm sticking to other suspension manufacturers until Marzocchi gets their act together.
can you see where im going here its the same with fox forks as well in most cases it cheaper better and lighter
it may just be me but i dont think i will be buying a Marzocchi after my 2008 66 finaly dies
p.s. most price and wight's found on chain reactions
I dont see where you are going.
66 ATA compares to Totem Solo Air. The totem is lighter, but more expensive.
66 RC3 compares to Totem Coil. The totem again is lighter, but more expensive.
Can you clarify your point?
sorry im just read what i have put i have found it is very miss leading. i was on about the 2010 expected range prices and then compered to the preverse years wights on all the forks for example the new 66 ti is like same wight as a top of the range tripale clamp fork (ok so it is solo air ) and allmost the same price i cant understand y there still so heavy and with haveing a ti sping in them
like the 66 ti is only 90 grams lighter than a 2009 Totem Coil and it 300 pound more same with the Rock Shox Boxxer Team Forks 2010 thay are only 2980g (6.57 lbs)220 grams more and only £899.99 for a tripple clamp
one of there main selling point for the new 2010 66 is it being light (ok getting rid of 0.9lbs is good) but from what i can see there are a lot lighter forks out there (that dont have ti springs in yet) that will do the job just as well and even in some cases a lot better for the same price or close
its prob me just being bitchy as i am very f**ked off with Marzocchi at the mo but i hope this clears it up a bit
just reading up about the new 2010 55 an 66 range and thought i would shear with every one
i can find two thing wrong with these all ready price and whight for example...

That made more sense. I see what you are saying now. I wouldn´t mind if their reliability was as good as it was in 2007. I haven´t bought a new fork since I prefer Marzocchi but their stuff has been terrible according to reviews and the forums. I was kind of hoping their 2010 stuff was better. And yeah, they had always been a bit more heavy than other brands, but more dependable. I hope they live up to that again sometime soon.
now when you warentee your fork for creaking, marzocchi is installing the nickel plated stanctions... i think they are doing this because when you plate something, you are adding a small layer of material onto the stanction (making a tighter fit)... the whole reason your forks creak is because of the fit between the bushings and the stanctionand stanction to crown...
after my second warentee, marzocchi gave me 2010 nickel stanctions and 2010 internals like bushings, springs, dust seals and oil... no problems with it thus far and i have tried very hard to make these forks creak... even with doing endos there have been absolutely no sounds
as far as i know... its the only rc3 with nickel stanctions in london... (which is sic!!!)
hhmmmm nickel stancions would be nice maybe ill send mine in sooner than later mine are creaking but not bad is more of a brokenparts floating around inside the fork sound how do you go about sending the forks back for warranty work? just send em in or is there paperwork to be done?

box the fork up, put marzocchi's address on it and thats it... i didn't include any paperwork with my fork... if they need paperwork i said that i would fax it to them
