sliding, drifting, donuts, and full on as-hung-out hoonery is really the few joys I get out of winter.

We are far far away from riding bikes around here. Even on the shore there is much snow.

That is the truth ! It is prime at the lower elevations ( below 3000' ) here.

On my way to go snowboarding right now…

Now I get to remind myself of how slow I am on the snow as well as the dirt.

There are a few places that are getting there on the island now. Duncan, Victoria and Parksville have some clear trails. Here we still have over a foot slow melting snow so probably another 2 weeks if it doesn't snow again.

Yup... the old grump in me is now acutely aware of how much of a bummer snow is if you're not using it.

Stoked to see the grass again!

I like my snow like I like my women, close enough that I can drive there easily when I wanna play but far enough that I don't need to deal with that bullshit every day.
