drill that sucka out, as long as your solid axle is not so large diameter (i.e. 14mm) you will end up with minimal material on the STS

put it in a vice so its safe (you don't want to drill a hole in your hand or leg!) and then clean it up with a steel file before mounting it on the bike

I have bought an STS, will I have this problem on my T2 road bike when I make it SS? I haven't got the frame yet so can't test it out Confused

not if you are using a regular 10mm Quick Release wheel axle and skewer
