Yes - worth it. Though, to save $$, you might look at the 960p version - cheaper, mostly at the expense of not including the 60fps mode...

Well the GoPro Wide films at a resolution of 512x384.
Here is a youtube video which looks about right to me for the Hero Wide:
And here's a GoPro HD: (Note with this one you can turn the youtube quality up to 720p)
There you go, your choice

Ahh thank you so much, just what i wanted. HD is clearly the way to go.
