Good all-mountain, hear it wanders and isnt a very good climber but great for all-mountain. tad heavy. New split pivot Dixon is an amazing bike, if you can save your $$
Hectik I has RS Lyric Solo Air so fixed at 160mm and with a 67 degree head angle its not going to climb as well as the more expensive Hectik 2 with its Fox 36 Talas RC2(travel adjustable 100-130-160) fork
bear in mind the 2010 Specialized Enduro SL has the same fork and a slacker head angle (66.5)...so the Hectik I is not alone in this "issue"
my customer bought this bike, and immediately came back to upgrade the fork to Fox 36 Talas
this is my Hectik II custom build which is a fantastic "all rounder" fitted with Fox 36 Talas RC2 fork
I never use the 100mm setting but regularly use 130mm for climbing and then 160mm for descents
in the photo its been fitted with 1x9 gearing using E13 LG1 for a DH race I did locally, and I've kept it this way for fall trail riding, but soon to switch back to 2x9 gearing for the wet Winter months when a lower gearing spread is more useful
this is the 2011 Devinci Dixon all-mtn bike, its a great riding bike, but substantially more $$ than the Hectik I, and does not feel as "burly" with a steeper geometry, lighter overall weight and 145mm of rear travel versus the Hectik with 160mm
