Sorry---should have made this an addendum to the previous post----but out of curiosity, how close to 6' are you? (I'm 5'10").
Thanks again (again).
no worries. i am 5' 11ish. i got mine from singletrackbikes.co.uk. Talk to Dave, he and his boss are wicked to deal with. I got a smoking deal on both my frames from these guys.
Totally agree with downhere67, not the best bike in the air but unbelievably fast, especially when the trails get steep and techy. I'm 6ft 3 and ride a 2013 large frame, fits me perfectly once i swapped out the standard 0mm stem for a spank 25mm stem.
I just replaced the spring from 500lbs to 400 lbs and .... what a difference. Now i get around 35 % SAG and is it froking smooth... Have no patience to run it on the bike park.. What shock compression setting are you running, can you share some info?
I live next to a company who sell bearrings, and thought they might sort me out with all bearings i need for my 2013 frame. (cheaper than silverfish) Can anyone tell me exactly what bearrings i need?
ordering bearings online is totally stupid (and expensive) unless you have unique bearings like in IH Sunday. just disassemble your suspension and look at the dust seals of bearings, there will be a bearing code. ta-da, now you know what to buy. for my 2012 summum all the stuff was about just 30 bucks.
anyway, here 2010-2012 summum diagram. hope it helps someone Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://s7.hostingkartinok.com/uploads/images/2015/06/e53be3daea526702eaa53823cb4af474.jpg
Hi guys, sorry if I'm changing the conversation here, but I'm trying to take my rear brake off my summum but with the internal cabling, I'm gonna have to take my calliper off and make an oily mess, right?
The brake is a Formula RX and I was hoping somehow I could disconnect the calliper and feed the cabling out, then reconnect without bleeding, but I guess that's not possible? I guess I'd have to bleed them again?
This might be more of a question for a Formula or brake thread, but thought I would try here.
You guys must have had this problem before? It's the first time I changed the brake on this bike...
detach hose from lever, stick a hole in hose it with something like a piece of match. carefully remove the hose. after hose is free, use a syringe with needle to refill hose with DOT. also add some to the lever's seatplace. assemble your brake and check it. that guide does not guarantee success, but you have a chance to avoid bleeding your brake
