Definitely looked like you wouldn't want to start sliding in a few spots there. Nicely done.

The Chromags seem very happy in this environment.Smile

Thought I was going down at least 4 times but the Surface kept me upright.

What are your thoughts on this setup? More playful, better cornering compared to full 29?

O+

So dreaming about a rebuild of my 2019 Ragley Big Wig into a different frame. The big thing I want from my next frame is shorter chainstays and sliding dropouts to run single speed. I want to have a threaded BB, 31.6mm seatpost, sliding boost dropouts that range from sub 420mm slammed to somewhere at least somewhere around 430mm at fully back, 475-485mm reach, 140-150mm forks, two bottle mounts and easily removable shifter housing (so no internal routing and not routing where I have to remove the shifter cable from the derailleur). I want to be able to just un-bolt the derailleur and shifter and take it all off without having to readjust the cable when I switch back and forth between geared and single speed.

Are there any frames that match this or would I need to go custom?

The pipedream moxie almost ticks all boxes: only 1 bottle cage, chainstays sliding from 425-441

Maybe they can even accommodate your needs for a second pair of bottle bosses.

Or of course a large honzo st (cs 415-435) with a 2° angle set to accommodate the longer fork, and a pair of clamp on bottle holders/bosses. I think problem solvers produce those.

I wish they hadn't of made the chainstays longer on the Moxie.

I'd probably grab a pair of the King Cage USB clamp on bosses if I got a bike without a second set.

Ask questions on tire width for Moxie... my buddy picked one up and couldn’t fir a tire bigger than a 2.25!

Presumably but I would really want to know how big a tire you could fit into an “improved” design. Just a heads up.

I'm interested to see what you go for, but more importantly, that bench is awesome.

Yes, I usually buy cheap, crappy wood furniture and put it back to work, no matter how damaged it is Smile ...

I intend to try some tires from WTB (Verdict + Judge combo). I think I will return to Magura MT5 with some 1 finger aluminum levers and a bigger rotor on the front ... as for the gear, I don't know, I never considered the gears something important, I could stay with the current setup, which is Sram NX, it doesn't bother me yet, or go for a XT 12-speed upgrade kit......

In the unlikely event of you ever selling it Red, I'd take it... Wink
