Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
I have found 20degs of backsweep is my happy place. I run BTCHN bikes 4130 Flat tracker bars on my hardtail. 75mm of rise, 21deg of backsweep. So good.

Dakine Announces The Universal Pickup Pad
@RevedOut: A CAT scoop of mulch or dirt is tricky in a Civic. Especially one that is about to get a roll bar lol.

Dakine Announces The Universal Pickup Pad
I mean to be fair there are times when a van isn't ideal otherwise. Like hauling mulch, lumber, etc. That is why I have both (an 03 Element and 99 Ranger). With all the work, I have been doing to my house if I had to choose one a truck makes way more sense.

First Ride: Forbidden Dreadnought V2 - More Travel & Longer Chainstays
I am 6'2" and tbh I hate the way the bikes with long chainstays feel. All the ones I have tried have felt kind of dead and lacking in pop. I know the long chainstay bike is probably faster and feels more balance particularly on high speed runs but I just want to have fun popping off side hits and snaking down tight old hiking trials. I have been riding a custom built Marino recently with 415mm chainstays.

Shimano Releases New $160 Drivetrain - With 8 Gears
@winko: I have about 1000 miles on the Advent on my hardtail and about the same on my gravel bike. I had to replace the derauileur on my gravel bike due to me being an idiot and messing up a bunny hope and landing on the derailleur destroying the cage. Otherwise zero issues.

Review: Yoshimura's New Chilao SS Flat Pedals
For me, that is automatic no go. I won't buy pedals with a bearing bulge. I would rather have a thicker pedal to avoid that.

Review: Yoshimura's New Chilao SS Flat Pedals
@superfrodaddy: I have know a couple people with those and they have all had issues. But yeah the whole pedal thing is getting a bit silly.

Video: The Riders Overlooked By Modern Geometry
I am 6'2" and personally I want a tall stack, stacker STA (on a hardtail I like around 74 so with mind that steepens to about 75ish when the fork compresses to normal) and a shorter chainstay. Tall stack keeps my comfortable. Short chainstays help make the bike more fun to throw around. A steep STA is great for just straight up and down but where I am it doesn't work on flatter sections.

@Bad-Mechanic: True but STAs also don't work everywhere at least in my experience. Where I am with a decent amount of rolling terrain, I don't like the bikes I have tested with steep STAs.
