Ok so ive decided to build up a double and was just wondering if you guys know what parts work the best with them and such.
First question is what fork shoud i run for light dh slope style?
Im thinking of maybe a fox 831 but i kinda want a travel adjust fork Confused
what would the ideal travel to run the fork at?
thanks

I wouldn't run anything over 120mm. 100-110 would be ideal. The Double is fine for 4x/DJ but if you want light DH look at the Bottlerocket. With that you could throw a 36 Talas on it and have your adjustable travel.

ya im getting something less than the bottle rocket cause i have a demo 7 already

i just need something to ride on light trails and such.

do you think a lowered 36 would be good?

36s lowered that much might be overkill. If you have them or want something stiff then they'd work fine, but they're a bit heavier than what you'd need. You'd probably be able to get away with a 15QR 32. But it all depends on what kind of terrain you're riding. For me, 100mm 36s would feel weird but if you're worried about the strength of the fork then I guess it wouldn't hurt at all.

I'd say get a lowered 100mm 36 float. Really strong, but pretty light. IMO the perfect SS fork
