My time is around 4 minutes, although I don't take any of the shortcuts that guy does.

This. Gawton is by far the best place I have ridden in the south west of England or south Wales. Cwmcarn doesn't make the most of the hill and I'm not paying £35 (or whatever it is these days) for an uplift on one (slightly boring) track all day. Gawton has 3 quality tracks and another has been built since I last went, I've pushed up there as well and got 12+ runs in which is amazing for such good tracks.
