Here's a throwback to 2007. All factory except for some upgraded brakes, a wheelset, and some gearing

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

She makes a great all purpose bike. Climbs AMAZING with the custom valved RP23, no bob. It really shines at highspeed, likes to float.

Pitch Comp 2011 - needs a good clean but getting there!

Customising everything, after X0 drive train and Formula The One brakes.

So far running, 160mm Lyrics, kashima RP23, Superstar AM491 gold (please tell me if too much haha; unsure myself, the vision and reality yet to marry-up!)' Renthal Fatbar, Joplin 4, Hans Dampf, few other bits and pieces.

Current bits and bobs include X7, Elixir 5, charge spoon saddle, etc....

More to come, inc a good clean.

Any good ideas to achieve my vision are welcome :-)

Constructive criticism preferred ha

My fist build. Lots of XT with the exception of the SLX crank and DT 350 hubs with upgraded star ratchet and flow ex rims.

I'll post a picture of my Pivot Mach 6 (stealth) as soon as I figure out how to afford it.

You will love the 34 tooth. So much power once you get the strength for it. I've got a 34 and a granny gear, some climbs I stay on the 34 just so I can power up certain sections.

I've been running a 30x11/36 for so long now that going back to a 2x test riding another and never touched the granny. I'm starting to think single ring makes you a better rider.

My only gripe is being able to balance my climbing/crawling gearing with my downhill/straights on the pavement.

my 34 almost doesn't have enough top end, a 36 would be better but would make climbing a little harder Blank Stare

Would love the weight savings and cleaner look too

I'm kinda leaning 1x detection. If I'm having a hard time in my small front ring I'm jumping off. I'm not a huge fan of long climbs lol. But I love running a 36t front ring. I hated 32t it felt like I was just spinning on the flats and couldn't find the gear combo that I likes.

I really want too see a wide range cassette in 10 speed. Then I can see going 1x. Run a 34 or 35.

It all depends on the terrain you ride on.

In the northeast I only use a 1x10 as its mostly flat

Back home in Venezuela where shit is really steep, you NEED a granny.

1x10 has definitely made me a better rider as I carry more momentum throughout, but you also have to master the sit and spin technique for some sections.
