OHH so you are a short 6,3 hahaha
no, I'm a full 6'3" I feel no insecurity about my height unlike a lot of people so I don't bullshit it. I just got stuck with a medium because giant were out of larges. After riding it for a season, I can honestly say it's not that small and if OP is 6'1" and he only has a medium available to him then he can shred it no problem.

Haha you are funny tall 6,3

Hey,

Just wondering if any Glory owners on here have had the chance to compare the bike with a Cane Creek Double Barrel and a Rock Shox Vivid? Or if you've had a Double Barrel on yours, how does it feel?

I don't actually have a Glory but I'm tempted to got one and considering keeping the Double Barrel off my current bike.

Are you sure it's the same size DB?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, yes. Well pointed out, haha!

Mine is 9.5" x 3.00" (340mm x 76mm). A wee google search found a forum saying Glory is *8.75" x 2.75" (222mm x 70mm), that right?

Also, you guys had any issues of cracks appearing on the 2013/2014 frames? I was over in Whistler in 2012 and my buddy who was guiding had a 2012 Glory on which a crack appeared on the brace between the seat-stay and chain-stay. I've quite a history of frame cracking sadly, though I see they have a 3 year warranty which is quite good.

Yes, current Glory has 8.75" x 2.75" (222mm x 70mm) shock.

I'am wandering why it says in the linkage of the frame 8" and not 8.75 ........

Because 8.0 is the travel and 8.75 is the eye to eye length of the shock which doesn't mean much when plastered on the side of a frame.

I've got a 2013 M glory and it is the king of Freeride with a vivid air and single crown fork, highly recommend.

I've got mine set with 36 Float 180, Vivid Air, lightweight components and I live it Smile
But, I am thinking about getting back to triple clamp for such as F40 Float or even, maybe, new X-Fusion RV1 if real weight would be just bit higher than big air forks Smile

Hello, I am planning to buy a Glory, but I am very confused which size would be fit for my 170 cm...Very confused
Is there any "rule" from Giant, or could anybody help me?
I read some previous comments but I could not find exact info...
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the graph, very useful! tup
... but ... as I see I am on the "borderline" between S and M size.. I could buy an S due to a price drop, but I have no chance to try before buying. Could you share with me your personal experience regarding frame size?

So my new 2014 Giant Glory frame has arrived at the shop. Gonna be a couple weeks till I actually get it which gives me time to sort out component fit issues.

Main one is; what bottom bracket style is on the frameset? I see the 2014 Glory 0 is Press-fit but seems like the other models are standard threaded style.

Also, how high does the Overdrive headset stack. It looks pretty tall( I'm already gonna have to get a new lower-crown/steerer assembly cos my current steerer is puny) so just wanna check roughly the minimum steerer length.

Cheers guys.
