You'd also have to make sure the gap between your crowns wasn't too small. It's meant to be 156mm + or - 2mm from the top of each stanchion to the top of the lower crown, according to the Rock Shox service manual (page 20):
Its fox 40s i have on my glory , if i drop upper crown looks like , i cant drop the stauntions because of the 163 measurement that they recomend , so does this mean i wil actually make the bike lower with same head angle ???
Not quite sure what you mean, are you able to remove any spacers from below the top crown or is the 'top of stanchion to lower crown' distance already at the minimum?
If you move the headtube down in relation to the stanchions it'll steepen the head angle and lower the bottom bracket. raising it will have the opposite effect.
At the moment the upper crown has two spacers under it which gives me a measurenment of 163.7 ,,,,, but i wan to take out spacers and drop upper crown , then drop the staunions lower , but will chamge that measurenment smaller than 163.7 .. If that makes sense ?
Was hoping to make the bike a bit more slack by taking out a spacer dropping upper crown and extending stauntions outward , but that distance fox have given makes it hard lol ,
