you may need to play with your high and low compression, and bottom out settings.

i rode them with bottom out turned off and same with the compression, but still couldnt use full travel.

Did you measure the travel you got?

Do that, because the seal to crown distance is often more than 8"

i run my forks at 20cm, which is roughly 8 inch

The minimum you should run is 205mm, if you are not getting full travel from your fork first off remove the fork spring and compress the fork. If you reach full travel great, this means the spring is either too stiff for you or the elastomer in the spring is too long(if so cut it down). If you do not get full travel, you may have an oil bypass in the damper leg. This means a new seal or seal head is needed.

156 mm from top of stanchion to top of lower crown.

I suppose SRAM believes measuring off seals is inaccurate.

Any I have same fork and am the same weight. I have no trouble using full travel with the yellow spring installed

Nah, taken right from the 11 r2c2 SRAM manual. Measuring from top of stanchion (think top cap). To top of lower crown.

This is a pre determined height. Then from their you can tell if u need a high or low rise crown with their min. Stanchion protrusion.

Easier to understand if u look at the SRAM manual.
