I have just bought the same set. Shimano slx hg81 10 speed cassette. I have a 10speed 105 chain for my road bike that has done 100miles max so gonna use that.

Any 10speed cassette and chain should work.

Downhill you prob want a close ratio cassette.

Depends on what model of Zee you have purchased. If you have purchased the DH version, thatll only run on a max of 28t with the AM running on the wider 36t cassettes.

If youve got an XT cassette, itll most likely be either a 34 or 36t, which would need the AM mech to work. If you have a DH mech, that wont work on the XT block as the cage wont reach/chain length work be correct, so would need either a closer range casstte (road size) or a new AM mech in replacment.

Yeah I have the dh version would the Shimano SLX HG81 10 Speed MTB Cassette with a 32t

No, as I said, the DH version will only work with a 28t cassette. If you wanted to keep the DH version, youll need to look for a road cassette (11-21, 11-23, 11-25, 11-28 ) to suit. If not, return the DH mech and purchase an AM to suit the 32t cassettes.

O+

Shimano doesn't make a AM mech, its a FR mech. Not to be all smart ass, just making sure you don't go looking for something that doesn't exist
