Gonna be in Ă…lesund for 5 weeks starting in May. Any help with good trails would be much appreciated.

Hi there, living 15 mins away.
I only got DH bike tho, so i cant keep up if you ride enduro etc.
Anyway, heres a group on facebook so you can find locals to ride with: https://www.facebook.com/groups/stisykling/

Thanks for the response. I am trying to decide between which bike to bring. Both are 27.5, one is 140/140 and the other 170/170. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Hey everyone! Just moved to Oslo and looking for any social rides or groups to join. I'm recovering from a knee injury so keen to just ride some chill trails at the moment near the city, does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm on the other side of the country (Stavanger), but if you don't have much luck finding a group online you can typically find people shuttling Holmekollen using the train between Midtstuen and the summit stations:

Hello,
I'm visiting family in Oslo from Aug 2 till Aug 12.

I'm likely going to arrive in the area around July 25 so I can get a solid week of MTB riding in.

I'm looking to connect with some people to ride with, either locals or other people traveling to the area. I'm also open to paid guided tours. I AM WILLING TO PAY FOR A GUIDE or cover a local rider's lodging costs.

I'm considering doing a 4 day guided tour, which includes boat island hopping in the Lofoten area. I'm not sure if this is good or not. Here's the link: https://www.norwegianadventurecompany.com/en/adventures/arctic-haute-route-bike-and-sail#programme

Anyway, I would love to connect and get some serious riding in.

I'm a very experienced rider but not pro and I have decent endurance. I can do 20-30km rides with 1000 meter climbs. I could probably do this level every day with a bit of training.

I consider myself a trail and enduro rider. I also enjoy DH and have done quite a bit of DH.

I'm also curious if I should rent a bike locally or if I should fly with my bike (Intense Primer 29er, 140/140, trail bike) to Norway. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Cheers,

FL

Hey! Have been in Oslo for about 5 months have done a lot of riding around sognsvann, frognerseteren, ostmarka and grefsenkollen. Looking for new places to ride if anyone has any recommendations around the city! More of an enduro rider than xc so like to struggle on the way up and enjoy the way down! Let me know if you have any suggestions!
