Athletes Now Need to be Fully Vaccinated Against COVID to Compete in France
@Larkey1: I'm Australian and have been stuck here due to COVID rules without being able to return to Australia for the past 2yrs. But sure, what would I know. @FairGoFalcon: did you see it? I'm not convinced anyone did. I follow him, certainly never saw any of the shit that was alleged. And no one has ever shared a screenshot or anything like in every other allegation. I'm happy to be convinced, but career impacting witch hunts aren't cool.

@tgent: so ridiculous that he even had to. He talked on a podcast about what could be achieved if we took preventable deaths like suicide as seriously as we take COVID. And somehow people thought that meant he was anti-vax.

@Larkey1: god, you again. What is it with you and Dean Lucas? Did he beat you in a race 10 years ago? You're spreading disinformation again, after you were already called out for it.

Pinkbike Annual Community Survey Results: Who Are Pinkbike Readers?
I think the number of bikes + age is an interesting statistic. I have 4 bikes currently: 8yo DJer, never sell 6yo steel XC bike, never sell 5yo fixie, never sell 1yo trail bike that replaced a 5yo Enduro bike that I only sold due to flight logistics after an overseas race... I only bikes that have long term value to me. And I plan to ride until they disintegrate, then replace.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 90 - Is Supre the Future of Trouble-Free Drivetrains? (with Cedric Eveleigh of Lal Bikes)
I haven't broken or bent a derailleur since at least 2012. I have broken one broke a derailleur hanger in that time though, and that was pretty annoying. Prior to that maybe I bent some ancient XT thing? While I was a bit confused by him dramatically saying that current derailleurs "EXPLODE ALL THE TIME", I do agree that this system, in premise, makes a lot of sense for MTBs. Similar how QR was adapted from road bikes but makes much less sense than rugged through axles.

Pretty lame tbh. Bit disappointing to see this on PB.

Road Cycling Digest: An Endless FAQ to Tubeless, 5 Things the Bike Industry Should Do & More
Strewth, what a whiney comment section. I actually like these summation posts. I don't just SHRED PARK on my ENDURO bike, I also cycle commute to work, ride gravel, do the occasional road ride, whatever. I may be a mountain biker first, but I'm also a cyclist in the broader sense. I don't have enough interest to warrant following a second website, but these highlight reals have been a nice addition to the PB newsreel (these predate Outside by a year, for all you troglodytes). All the content has already been filtered for quality and inter-discipline interest (for example, the Turkmenistan / UCI corruption article). Plus, we get to avoid all the shitty website layouts (looking at you especially CyclingTips).
