I think it's gonna happen. I also think there is going to be a carbon Uzzi too, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

not going to happen. The m9 is dead as far as intense is concerned. if any bike is going carbon it will be the 951 or a bike similar to it. the m9 is to big and bulky thats why we are not even going to see a 650b version of it

Is your fox 40 set up to handle the 650b wheels? Im looking at doing the same thing to my m9 and was curious if you swapped the fork out on yours for a dedicated 650b fork.

Nope. But there is plenty of clearance for the bigger wheel on the 40. Probably not as much clearance on a boxer or any other fork.

I recommend the budget wheels for racing as it is noticeably faster... But the bike is much more playful set up short with smaller wheels.

I have heard that the rake on the fork can cause the steering to be a little slug if you don't get a 650b fork. Do you notice any difference with how your m9 handles?

Yeah i did. But like i said. You get used to it after a couple of runs. I chalked it up to the wheel size changing everything.
The bike went faster, straighter over nasty stuff. Definitely flew through the air differently too. The wheels were like sails. Took some getting used to.

I was just checking out my M9...how much clearance do you have between the tire and your swingarm? It looks like it might get a little close in there. Also what tires width are you running as well?

A little over 1/4 inch.
Maxxis high roller I think

Well I decided to pull the trigger on this and am getting some spanks with a new 27.5 rado for the m9. I will post pics when it is complete.

Looks good. Let me know what you think of the ride

It def rode much faster and stable...which is what many have been saying about the 650b setups. On a side note, anyone notice that the m9 is not in the 2015 lineup? Kind of bummed to see that only the 951 is available.
