They have kind of seasons on components. It used to be all Mavic wheels and BOS suspension. Then there was the DT Swiss era where they had bespoke YT product designations, like YT2050 instead of FR2050. Then there was the E13 era. It just comes down to price I think.
My guess is they are waiting until they fulfill all of there 2020 orders that people are still waiting on. And trying to sell through all of their old stock. They probably had more frames than they had components with the usual spec, so they came out with a limited edition model to sell through more of their frames they have.
While I'm a bit surprised there's not a single new frame design or updates to the Decoy since eBikes are all the rage these days and they've been sold out for a while on those in the US store. I'm honestly happy with this announcement, the bikes look great, appear well spec'd and the US prices seem very reasonable, and it means my Capra retains re-sale value on the used market, not that I'm looking to sell it, yet... But if GG sent an email that there's more build kits in stock, I'd strongly consider it, that's the next bike for me, Smash|Gnarvana
